Ecohardwood wood flooring is produced using green energy

Our flooring manufacturer ECOWOOD UAB in Lithuania puts responsible forestry and sustainable production at the top of it's list of priorities. Just like any other company producing goods, we consume a lot of energy to achieve our final products, from engineered oak flooring, to bespoke doors and stairs.

In 2020, as a solution to reducing energy output and costs, ECOWOOD UAB launched a much anticipated venture to produce its own energy via a solar power plant. The project was jointly funded by the company itself and the EU.

The solar power plant was built within the factory confines in Vilkija, Lithuania and is one of the top 20 largest plants in the country, with a capacity of 800.4kW.

4000m2 of solar panels have been installed on the roof of the factory, with an additional 4000m2 positioned within the grounds.

Mr. G. Leliuga, CEO of ECOWOOD UAB commented "The main goal is to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and to combat climate change, whilst offering consumers products made using clean, green energy."

Additionally, to reduce the pollution of fossil fuels, the plant sells the excess energy to other companies.

I recently visited the Ecohardwood showroom in West London and was genuinely impressed. It's beautifully designed and the quality of the products really stands out. Everything is made from real, natural oak and you can see the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The team were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for premium engineered wood flooring, made-to-measure oak doors or bespoke oak staircases, I'd definitely recommend visiting the showroom. We chose Ecohardwood having seen their engineered oak floors (Tobacco) in a friend's house. We found Irmantas a pleasure to deal with. We love the look and finish of the product and chose it in part because it works well with our underfloor heating. There were a few spillages by our builders but the Ecohardwood team have been very helpful in helping our builders to remedy these mistakes. Irmantas has remained very reassuring and calm! We fully recommend the product having lived in our house now for a few months. If I did it again I might use Ecohardwood to do the installation.

We recently purchased Ecohardwood engineered oak wood flooring in the Tobacco colour and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent – well made, with a beautiful natural finish. We installed it throughout the whole house and it has completely changed the look and feel of the space, giving it a warm, modern and very natural feel. We did apply a premium hardwax oil, which enhanced the tone and added extra protection.
